Tesa tape, plastic-coated cotton, 10 m x 25 mm, gray
tesa® 4657 is a high-quality, acrylate-coated fabric tape for demanding, temporary, and permanent masking and fastening applications.
Description
The tesa® 4657 woven tape is a particularly durable, acrylate-coated tape on a cotton woven backing with a fabric density of 145 threads/inch² and a heat-curing natural rubber adhesive. It was specifically developed for industrial applications, particularly in automotive production, where it is used for temporary and permanent masking of holes as well as in painting processes. Thanks to its high tensile strength (105 N/cm), excellent puncture resistance, and strong adhesion to nearly all substrates, the tape adheres reliably even at high temperatures up to 180 °C (30 min.) and can still be removed without leaving any residue. The acrylate coating ensures outstanding resistance to paint, solvents, and abrasion, good water resistance, and excellent aging resistance—ideal for long-term indoor and outdoor use. Thanks to its excellent tearability by hand, the straight tear edge along the high-mesh fabric, and its good writability, the tape is extremely user-friendly and also ideally suited for the production of die-cut parts.
