The Octenisan® Set Schülke consists of the Octenisan® Waschlotion and the Octenisan® MD nose gel, specially developed for effective preoperative decontamination. This set offers a simple and safe solution to prepare for surgical interventions and minimizes the risk of infections. The products are designed for an application of up to five days before an operation, which enables comprehensive and thorough cleaning. The set also includes detailed patient information that ensures correct use and increase compliance. Areas of application
Pre -operative full body decontamination
Recent research show that full body decontamination, be it as a preventive measure on intensive care units or before operations, can contribute significantly to reduce infections. Studies also suggest that the settlement of the nasal cavity with S. Aureus plays an important role in later infections. A whole bundle of different measures can successfully help to reduce or prevent nosocomial infections.
