The viscoelastic core compensates for thermal expansion of the bonded parts throughout the entire life cycle of the end product and performs reliably in temperature ranges from -20 °C to 80 °C. Thanks to its high-performance acrylic foam technology, this tape is ideal for permanent assembly applications both indoors and outdoors. It delivers outstanding cold shock resistance down to -40 °C and—especially when used with suitable bonding promoters—ensures a secure and reliable bond under demanding outdoor conditions.

Key Features

Type: 1000 µm double-sided acrylic foam adhesive tape

Series: tesa® ACXplus 707x, 7074 High Resistance version

Application: High-performance tape for permanent mounting applications indoors and outdoors

Color: black

Thickness: 1,000 µm

Adhesive: Pure acrylate

Backing material: foamed acrylate

Long-term temperature resistance: 120 °C

Short-term temperature resistance: 220 °C

Temperature range for thermal expansion compensation: -20 °C to 80 °C

Excellent cold shock performance: down to -40 °C

Adhesive strength on ABS (initial): 5 N/cm; after 14 days: 6 N/cm

Adhesion to PP (initial): 1 N/cm; after 14 days: 1 N/cm

Adhesive strength on steel (initial): 16 N/cm; after 3 days: 32 N/cm; after 14 days: 33 N/cm

Product variants: 25 m x 12 mm; 25 m x 19 mm

Particularly suitable for materials with varying surface properties

When used with bonding primers, provides an extremely secure bond for outdoor applications

Applications

Stiffening profiles / Reinforcement profiles

Window trim

Flush design of components

Interior trim

Dry glazing

Durable, structurally stable bondings for interior and exterior applications

Summary

The tesa® ACXplus 7074 High Resistance Acrylic Foam Adhesive Tape combines high adhesive strength, excellent temperature and cold shock resistance, and reliable strain compensation into a professional solution for permanent construction and assembly bonding—ideal for anyone who relies on durable, secure bonds.

For more information, please refer to the data sheets
