The tape offers excellent adhesion to a wide variety of corrugated and solid board surfaces and is characterized by very high initial adhesion as well as a short dwell time until the final bond strength is achieved. Thanks to its synthetic rubber adhesive system, tesa® 4590 adheres securely to a variety of substrates, even non-polar surfaces such as PE and PP. It combines very good longitudinal tear strength with very low elongation, making it ideal as a heavy-duty packaging tape for professional applications in industry and logistics.

Key Features

Versatile, unidirectional filament adhesive tape

Base material: glass filaments laminated onto polyester film (PET)

Color: white

Very high initial adhesion and short dwell time until final bond strength is achieved

Excellent adhesion to corrugated and solid cardboard surfaces

Reliable adhesion even on non-polar surfaces such as PE and PP

High tensile strength in the longitudinal direction with very low elongation

Thickness: 105 µm

Adhesive: Synthetic rubber

Backing material: Glass fiber & PET

Tensile strength: 250 N/cm

Adhesive strength on steel: 9 N/cm

Available in 4 variants:

Dimensions: 50 m x 19 mm

Dimensions: 50 m x 25 mm

Dimensions: 50 m x 38 mm

Dimensions: 50 m x 50 mm

Applications

Bundling of products and components

Palletizing and securing cardboard boxes

Use as heavy-duty packing tape

Securing goods for transport

Fastening tasks in industrial settings

Finishing and packaging processes

Summary

tesa® 4590 monofilament adhesive tape, white, offers high tear resistance, very strong initial adhesion, and reliable adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces—the ideal choice for professional bundling, palletizing, fastening, and securing goods for transport in industry and logistics.

For more information, please refer to the data sheets
